My name is Katie Bertsche and I am studying to be a science illustrator at the Rhode Island School of Design.  Hopefully I will be attending the graduate program at CSU Monterey Bay in the fall if they let me in!  Fingers crossed!

I went to university at the University of New South Wales in Australia where I studied honeyeaters (birds) and fire ecology.  I’ve been birding all over the world, I love scuba diving, and I have a not-so-small obsession with jellyfish and cephalopods.

I also have spent a lot of time doing tribal-style bellydance but my schedule doesn’t currrently allow me the time to keep teaching it.  So if you came here looking for that, sorry! Hopefully I will have some time to pick it back up in the future.
